Extremities quite rubbed and worn with corners bumped and spine ends rather frayed, cloth darkened except where cover labels were once mounted to both upper covers; folding map has a long closed tear from being roughly opened, Vol. I textblock shaken with front hinge slightly cracked, else contents mostly very good. A Good or better set in the surpisingly uncommon original binding. Mid-20th-century armorial ownership bookplates of a Roger Dow to front pastedowns along with his tiny pressure stamp, additional contemporary faint ownership rubberstamps to a couple of leaves in Vol. II. SADLEIR 48.
