From the library of local historian and educator Garland Quarles with his ownership rubberstamps to front endpapers. Review copy with slip and two mimeographed copies of Quarles's 3-pp. review laid in. Of the present work Quarles writes, "The book is superbly documented, includes a most impressive bibliography, and is as completely objective as one could expect it to be." Unfortunately we have been unable to ascertain the journal for which this review was written.
