Bleiler-listed fantasy, set in Africa, of an abandoned boy raised by lions. Preceded by a London edition the previous year, and followed by a sequel (Kaspa, the Lion Man ) in 1933. Bleiler gives both titles a "juvenile" designation, though we find little to suggest, in our own sampling of the narrative, that the intended audience is any more juvenile than one would expect given the genre. BLEILER (Checklist, 1972), p.260, referencing the London edition only.
