Fifteenth-century poem by Charles d'Orléans composed during the author's 25-year tenure as prisoner of war to the English. This, "Prayer for Peace," is a very loosely veiled reference to Werkman's own emprisonment as a Jewish Dutchman in Nazi-occupied Netherlands. See the H.N.
