Drive suite

London: Paul Breman, 1972. First Edition. First Printing. Slim octavo (21.5cm); photo-illustrated wrappers, stapled; 12pp. Fine, unread copy.

The Atlantic City, NJ author's first and only book, published seven years after his death in 1964 as a result of a drug overdose. Carrington spent most of his life from age 16 until his death in various jails and reformatories; it was in jail that he started writing, and where "writing became his all-comsuming passion to live, which he had never been able to express and did not know how to express except occasionally, in drink or drug."
