First book published by Amistad Publishers of New York, collecting a trio of long poems by West arranged into "books." Book One is told from the persepective of a vehemently racist white woman; Book Two takes the form of a lengthy 76-page screed, as told by "Five niggers sitting around talking shit" who touch on everything from Vietnam, the police, and white women to their own racial biases; Book Three is a graphic account of a sexual encounter between a black man and a white woman, told in alternating voices, and culminating in the woman being hacked into pieces with the man's machete and flushed bit by bit down the toilet. We find almost no biographical information on West, though he did author a previous work, Lectures in Nigger History: Thoughts on the Nigger Condition, in 1969.
