Darien, CT: Waldo Frank, 1922. First, Limited Edition. Frank's kaleidoscopic, loosely-structured fictional portrait of a New York neighborhood, constructed as a series of interrelated short-stories. A sadly overlooked New York novel by one of the more intriguing members of the Greenwich Village left-wing intelligentsia of the Teens and Twenties. HANNA 1297. Large octavo (22cm). Linen-backed boards, stamped in black on spine and front cover; 320pp. Limited to 1250 numbered copies; this is no.1093. Minor external wear; still a bright, attractive copy lacking the presumed dustwrapper (an example of which we have never seen).
