OWI Poster No.28 - jointly-issued by the Office of War Information and the Office of Defense Transportation. A clever homefront propaganda poster geared towards American citizens - particularly women - that by doing something as small as choosing to walk their groceries home instead of driving could be a valuable contribution towards the war effort. The poster, designed by photographer Valentino Sarra, shows a montage depicting a woman with an armful of groceries and parcels amidst a group of soldiers marching in the background - a reminder that our actions here at home affected the boys on the front.
