Journalistic account of Spain in the aftermath of a very short-lived military revolution which took place on December 15th, 1930. Apart from the author's travel series "Ce Que J'ai Vu," Béraud is best known for winning the Prix Goncourt for his best-selling novel Le Vitriol de Lune (1922) and later for being sentenced to death (later commuted to life imprisonment) for collaborating with the Germans during the Second World War.
