Views include: The Elizabeth Carteret Hotel; Elizabeth Avenue (showing the original Harmonia Bank Building); Alexander Hamilton Jr. High School; East Jersey Street (looking west); The Hotel Winfield Scott; Hersh Tower (Art Deco masterpiece, built 1931); St. Elizabeth's Hospital; Post Office; City Hall; Elizabeth General Hospital; Masonic Temple. Nearly all images include automobiles, including cars and buses. Excellent collection of vintage views of Elizabeth during its economic and cultural apogee, capturing the state's fourth-largest city before the beginning of its long downhill slide.
