Vote Communist - Gus Hall for President - Jarvis Tyner for Vice-President

New York: Hall-Tyner Election Committee, N.d. [ca. 1975]. Campaign poster for the Communist Party team of Gus Hall and Jarvis Tyner. The pair ran for election on the Communist Party ticket twice -- 1972 and 1976 -- and though the poster is undated, Library of Congress supplies a 1975 date. Gus Hall (b. Arvo Halber, 1910) was the longest-serving General Secretary of the CPUSA, holding office from 1959 until his death in 2000; Jarvis Tyner (b. 1941) remains active in left-wing politics, and campaigned extensively on behalf of Barack Obama in the 2008 & 2012 elections. Original lithographed poster in colors, ca. 30" x 20" (78cm x 56cm). Light corner and edge-creasing; small stains, but overall a fresh, unfolded copy with no significant wear; Very Good+/B+.
