Los Angeles: John Birch Society, 1964. Quarto (33cm x 27cm). Pictorial self-wrappers, on newsprint; 16pp. Fresh, clean, Near Fine, with no toning, aging or soiling to covers or contents. Each page illustrated with color and b/w photographic reproductions.
Though produced to appear like a standard journalistic piece, this is a paid advertising supplement produced by the John Birch Society and included for distribution in the Los Angeles Times. Includes brief biographical background on John Birch; the missions of the Society; portraits of Society officials, including the 24 members of "The Council," the Society's governing body; candid images of the Society "in action;" and a clip-out application to receive the Society's literature (unused). An excellent contemporary glimpse at the most successful and prominent of American neo-fascist organizations in the post-war era. Very fresh copy.
