Prague: Aventinum, 1929. First Edition. Oblong octavo (19cm X 24cm). Original printed wrappers, designed by Frantisek Musika. Minor external creasing, with a faint chaffed area to front wrapper (away from text). Text paper tanned; one leaf with brief closed tear away from text; Good to Very Good.

The first trade edition, preceded by a signed, limited edition of 100 copies. Dana Collection no. 37: "...Novy Ikaros stands on the boundary between Poetism and Surrealism. Biebl submitted the manuscript anonymously for a competition on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Aventinum. It wond first prize and appeared on the same day in two editions. They are of the same dimensions, corresponding to the length of the poems; both were designed by Frantisek Muzika, who was then artistic editor at Aventinum..." PRIMUS 101. DANA 37.
