Terre Haute: by the Author, 1899. First Edition. Extremely uncommon Debs item, a privately-printed tribute to his parents on the Golden Wedding Anniversary. 1899 was an extraordinarily busy year for Debs; Marxists Internet Archive attributes no fewer than 36 published lectures, pamphlets and speeches during the year. That the socialist firebrand took time out to write and publish this charming (and utterly non-political) familial celebration is evidence of the deep humanity which contemporary observers attributed to him. OCLC notes five locations, three in Indiana. Single sheet to make 6 panels; printed on yellow paper. Folded size 16cm x 8cm. Fine.
