Collection of three previously-published magazine pieces about Pittsburgh history, the first inspired by the legend of the Three Kings of Cologne. The last essay, "Stephen C. Foster, and Negro Minstrelsy," is devoted to the career of the early American minstrel song writer, author of "Oh, Susanna," "Camptown Races," "My Old Kentucky Home," and "Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair."
