"The strike begins in a packing plant and spreads to poor farmers and power plant workers. It is broken through a violent assault on the strikers by the National Guard." The protagonist decides to leave his wife for the factory worker, but the two lovers are shot by his wife. In an attractive example of the scarce Arthur Hawkins-designed dustjacket.
